The intern will work under the joint supervision of a Group staff member and FYEG’s Secretary General. On FYEG’s side, they will be involved in co-creating and implementing FYEG’s communication plans and campaigns. Working with FYEG’s Communications and Campaigns Officer, they will draft social media posts, develop their design skills, learn how to use video editing tools, and learn new communications tools. On the Greens/EFA Group side, they will work in the Communications department supporting the Web team. Tasks may include: keeping the website up to date, drafting short web articles or plenary debriefs and simple picture editing.
This internship call falls under a general equal opportunity scheme. Both the Greens/EFA Group and FYEG strive to promote gender balance, diversity and inclusion. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment based on mutual respect and to promoting active political participation of persons with disabilities and of disadvantaged groups. All applicants are encouraged to submit their application and to self-identify if they wish to, on either their cover letter or CV. In case of equal appreciation of competencies and suitability for the position, preference will be given to applicants from disadvantaged groups. This full-time internship is foreseen for a period of 5 months from 4 March 2025 until 25 July 2025. Working time is 35 hours per week with flexible working hours and occasional work in the evening and on week-ends. In addition to public holidays established within the European Parliament, the intern will have 2 days of holiday per month. The intern will also receive a monthly allowance of 1500 EUR.
Part of the internship can be performed remotely through teleworking, the intern will nonetheless be required to be based in Belgium for the period of the internship. Teleworking arrangements will be taken in line with the rules in place within the Greens/EFA Secretariat and the FYEG office.
